Whenever there is a cool breeze while I am sitting on the open balcony of our Dreamland Homestay, it just relieves me from all the stress from the hectic life. I am being a co-promotor of Dreamland Homestay, never actually stay in Coorg. I am a Clinical Virologist @ Manipal. I usually visit once in a month and the best part about going home is the road I take to reach Coorg from Manipal. I always start late from Manipal and reach Coorg by the midnight. Manipal being humid and temperate, it is a different world from the Coorg. Once I and my car reach Madikeri, the whole eco texture changes to calmer and more beautiful. This drive with the radio on makes me forget all the worldly thing I should be thinking about.
Reaching home in the midnight where my parents and my nephews waiting for me, gets me a warm welcome. Take a small bite of mom cooked dinner. I and my nephews head to the bedroom for a calm sleep after a hectic drive of 4 hours. No, we do not need an air-conditioner in Coorg. Even with the hottest of the summer, we can survive with the fan.
Next morning makes we go to the homestay, there is actually something special about that place. There place is so green during monsoons that it makes the eyes just love them. I take a tour of the homestay and check what needs to be fixed and what needs to be added etc.,
Around 8:00 am our caretaker Mrs Sabeena comes up with a hot cup of tea, which makes sit in the balcony and face towards the valley view and just relax and forget the world with a cup of tea in my hands. I makes my say wahh! Taj.
Sabeena is a fantastic cook and she is the one who makes yummy and delicious breakfast at the homestay. By just taking a bite of the breakfast I head back to home, as mom will be awaiting with my ever favourite neer dosa and chatni.
